Year 174 Fair Theme: From Farm To Table

Thank You From The 2013 Schomberg Fair

Great committees, passionate and dedicated volunteers, strong youth participation and incredible support from our community partners and corporate sponsors are the roots of our organization that helped the Schomberg Agricultural Society to bring King Township a wonderfully successful 163rd Spring Agricultural Fair.

Our organization has many generations of families that have dedicated their time, their hearts and their passion to this organization making it the success it is today.  This year the youth of our organization out did themselves and grew into outstanding volunteers. We don’t know how we could have had such a successful fair without them.

While there were many youth volunteers that came out during the weekend that we would like to thank, a very Special Thanks goes to those most noticeable participants: Cameron, Andrew, Jake, Emma, Lucas, Hennessey, Thomas, Steve, and Tonino.. your contributions over the week building up to the fair and during the fair did not go unnoticed. On behalf of the Board, myself and all of the members of the Agricultural Society thank you for dedication to the Association.

Seeing the outstanding youth participation at the 163rd Spring Agricultural Fair gives our membership the reassurance that we are on the right track. We believe with the help of these youth that we are building towards a great and strong future for our Society.

This  year marks the 15th year of the Corporate sponsorship programs.  Many of  these corporate sponsors have been part of this program from the beginning. THANK YOU for not only your monetary support but also your commitment to helping in any way possible.  This shows the SAS and the Community that you believe as we do, the importance of Keeping Agriculture alive.

Over the years your sponsorship funds have helped us improve and maintain our grounds, bring special attractions to the fair such as the Craze Crew BMX Bike Show, Rock Climbing, Pork Mobile, Exotic Animals, and to bring new exhibits and shows such as our Stock and Modified Tractor Pull.  Your funds also promote us in the community supporting the spring Farm Tour, our Bonfire evening and the Farmer’s Market.

As president of the Schomberg Agricultural Society, I would like to personally thank each and every one on the executive team, the board of directors, our members, volunteers, corporate sponsors and the community, for your dedication to and passion for the Schomberg Agricultural Society.  The gifts of your services, time and talents are truly appreciated. The key to our continued success rests with people like you who embody the spirit of greatness by saying, “Yes I can”, and follow through on your promise to DO IT!

Please remember to drop by our Farmers Market (every 2nd Saturday starting June 8, 2013) at the Schomberg Agricultural Fairground this summer for your farm fresh vegetables and fruits and many other local delights.
